Mother’s Design

Synopsis: Alex’s parents believe she is at the age to have had children already. However, Alex does not believe this and wants to pursue her long-awaited career in fashion instead. Alex’s parents do not support this decision, which leads to distance and tension between them. Which, Alex then finds out she can’t even have children. This only causes Alex to focus more on her designs. Alex gets offered the job as production manager. She finally tells her mother that she can’t have children and to put that conversation to rest. Alex’s mother does not give her blessings for her new job, further putting their relationship at a halt. Later on, Alex sees her mother from a distance, but her mother does not greet her. Alex smiles as she walks away. Finally, she knows she no longer needs the approval of her parents.
